Kids in Mind Classical Concert on Thursday April 2nd 2026

Charities continuously seek new channels for raising their profile and all-important funds. One charity has been extremely fortunate to be supported by two world-leading musicians, namely cellist Daniel Müller-Schott and pianist Magdalene Ho.

Norani Lucas, an ambassador for the cause, is organising two London events that will both entertain and raise funds and awareness for the charity.

About Kids in Mind

Kids in Mind is a London-based charity that offers hope and healing for disadvantaged children and young people throughout the UK who have escaped domestic violence.

Every year over 15,000 children flee domestic abuse to seek sanctuary in a women’s shelter. Most children arrive with only the clothes on their back. These children have either witnessed or experienced physical, emotional or sexual abuse and in many cases are suffering from Type Three trauma.

Kids in Mind addresses this crisis by delivering specialist trauma‑informed therapeutic services including yoga, play therapy, art, music, and Scandinavian‑influenced coping strategies, designed specifically for children with complex developmental trauma. Evidence shows that without intervention, only 26% of abused children avoid drugs and crime by 18 but with proper intervention, 86% avoid both.

With hundreds of therapeutic sessions planned this year, the charity’s commitment is clear but the need is enormous and every little bit of help makes a huge difference.

About the musical events

A concert takes place at 7:00 PM at Smith Square Hall, Sinfonia Smith Square, Westminster, London SW1P 3HA. Daniel and Magdalene will play exquisite music by Bach Schubert, Schumann and Chopin. The concert lasts for two hours and is guaranteed to lift people’s spirits.

For further information, please visit the Sinfonia Smith Square here.

The second event is a masterclass, running from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, for cello students to learn from the master musician himself, Daniel Müller-Schott. Daniel will be accompanied by Magdalene Ho on piano. You will find further information here.
